Earning Your Accreditation in Public Relations (APR)
What is “APR?” These three letters pack a powerful punch.
An Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) is a “two-part voluntary credentialing program for communications professionals. It is designed to demonstrate your knowledge of the critical advanced PR and communications skills that deliver value in organizations large and small. Like the lifelong learning of a certified public accountant (CPA), for example, professional credentials amplify your ability to demonstrate competence, experience and proficiency. The knowledge, skills and abilities learned and tested through the APR journey result in the attainment of the highest level of experience and competence in the profession, differentiating you from other practitioners.”
Visit PRSA’s Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) webpage for accreditation specifics, testimonials, newsletters and associated costs.
Additionally, PRSA Montana’s Accreditation Chair is an invaluable resource to our members. If you are interested in pursuing your APR, we encourage you to connect with our APR Chair. They can answer your questions and/or provide you with APR resources, contacts and/or mentorship.
